Uber, Millenials and the Struggle for the Free Market

    What are your thoughts on services like Uber and Lyft being the sole income source for someone? These companies offer no repairs or insurance for their drivers' vehicles, not to mention healthcare, unemployment, etc... Are you aware of any statistics showing the average overhead costs of being an Uber driver compared to the average income? Are these services meant to be income supplements? As a millennial myself, I wonder if these companies are a symptom of my generation getting used to having to work several different jobs at once to make a living. Is that reality preferable to the old economic reality, and do companies like Uber contribute to that trend?
