The McLaughlin Group (11.28)

FULL EPISODE
My time linked comments:
NASA is crucial for science, deserves funding, and inspires Americans of the future

Hundreds of Billions of Galaxies!

The gain of government expenditure on NASA - noting Cold War

NASA space exploration inspires students in math/science +  NASA does cutting edge research

Discovery of water on Mars suggests life in Universe

Calling a 'Millennial alert' on my wiser fellow panelists! Noting that students should read more classical philosophy and less Gramsci/Edward Said

Deal with racists by getting in their face, rather than demanding 'safe spaces'

Colleges should not be 'safe spaces', but rather places for robust philosophical debate

We must support our friends and debate political extremists into a wilderness of intellectual defeat

Star Trek will succeed in 2017 online-TV reboot - many issues - ISIS, social issues, poverty etc. to discuss

Why I love Star Trek - and why liberals and conservatives should also love Star Trek! (also noting Vulcan sense of humor)

Agreeing with Pat that the market will define whether Star Trek is accessible

PREDICTION: 2016 will be a challenging year for France re: social tensions, M. Le Pen etc.

FOREIGN POLICY/NATIONAL SECURITY –While I occasionally write on domestic policy, my passion and primary focus is on foreign policy/national security. I write on a range of subjects, focusing on China, Russia, India, North Korea, the Middle East (in particular Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Terrorism-related concerns). I also write on the broader question of international order.
