Capitol Shooting

The ongoing investigation will establish the facts. Nevertheless, it's important that we don't jump ahead to early judgement. Faced with a driver who fails to stop and who appears to be intent on destruction against a specific target, security services are forced to make quick decisions. Sometimes they make the right call, sometimes they make the wrong call. But within a matter of seconds they must make a call. Does the driver have a bomb in his/her vehicle? Is he/she confused or mentally ill? Is he/she determined to kill others? It's a testament to the US Military that in Afghanistan and Iraq, young soldiers and Marines have regularly made the right decision when faced with a terrible choice.
